A 16-member Orissa squad bagged seven medals in the 16th Sub-junior National Wushu Chompionshio, held at Koimbatore, Tamil Nadu from October 8 to 12, 2016.
The medals include one gold, two silver and four bronze. According to Wushu Association of Orissa genera secretary Pradyumna Behera, Sumitra Munda captured the gold medal in girls 24kg sanso event.
Swetarani Mahanta and Bapi Chatterjee claimed the two silver medals in girls 20kg and boys 32kg sanso events respectively.
The four bronze medals were pocked by Rajesh Munda (boys 28kg), Kitmayee Munda (girls 32kg), Arati Gope (girls 36kg) and Pallabi Samal (girls gunsh event).
Odisha squad was accompanied by WAO assistant secretary Pruthiraj Harichandan and coach Pankaj Mahanta.
